Christina Aguilera on new album: 'This is my rebirth'

Christina Aguilera has described her upcoming seventh studio album as a "rebirth".

The 'Moves Like Jagger' singer told The AP that her as-yet untitled record will show fans how her life has changed since 2010's Bionic.

"[The new LP shows] everything I've experienced up until this point," Aguilera explained. "I've been through a lot since the release of my last album, being on [The Voice], having had a divorce This is all sort of a free rebirth for me."

Aguilera also teased that the record's first single 'Your Body' is "super-expressive".

"I'm embracing many different things, but it's all feel-good," the star commented.

Aguilera's upcoming album is expected to be released later this year.

She also reunites with Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton for the third season of The Voice, airing Monday, September 10 on NBC.
