Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are set to go 'head to head' in a talent TV show battle, as their showbiz rivalry continues from their teen days as part of the Mickey Mouse Club.

NBC have decided to air The Voice at the same time as the first episode of the new X Factor USA series and Simon Cowell definitely isn't happy about it, we doubt Britney is either!

Britneys not going to appreciate the fact that Christina, who has been a bit of a rival, isnt allowing Britney to have a night of her own, Cowell told TMZ. Shes going to be devastated because shes put her heart and soul into this.

Cowell said he had a gentlemens agreement with NBC that The Voice would run Mondays and Tuesdays, while his show would air on Wednesdays and Thursdays on Fox so fans could watch both.

Simon has theorised that NBCs move is personal and referenced how his show, Britains Got Talent cleaned up in ratings compared to the British edition of The Voice.

He added: The reason theyve done this is they dont want people to see X Factor because theyve heard how good the series is. They dont want their audience to see Britney Spears. They dont want their audience to see Demi Lovato.

Launching an attack on the show, which - according to TMZ - will now feature an episode on Wednesdays, Simon blasted: "This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business."

The media mogul, who will be joined by new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato when the show returns on September 12, also revealed that he was under the impression he had an agreement with The Voice's bosses which avoided any clashes between the two shows.
