Christina Aguilera to be honoured for philanthropy work at ALMA Awards
Christina Aguilera has been named as the recipient of the 2012 NCLR Special Achievement Award for her philanthropy work.
Aguilera will be honoured with the accolade at the ALMA Awards ceremony, celebrating Latino performers.
The Voice coach is the global spokesperson for World Hunger Relief, for which she recently filmed a PSA.
In a 2011 PSA, Aguilera explained that she teamed up with World Hunger Relief to set a good example for her son Max.
Hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez, the ALMA Awards will be aired on September 21 at 8pm ET on NBC.
America Ferrera, Nicole Richie, Wilmer Valderrama and Michael Pena are among the celebrity presenters for the ceremony.
