Christina Aguilera Releases Beautiful Promo Pic and Her Other Recent Activities

Christina Aguilera has been one busy lady.

Christina Aguilera looks absolutely stunning in her black-and-white promo shot for her new album. The retro-inspired photo features the singer donning a black top, smokey eye makeup, dark lipstick, dark nails and a large flower in her slicked back hair. She's leaning on her elbows with her fingertips touching her cheeks. Her upcoming album will be the first in two years after the release of "Bionic," which didn't get positive reviews. The first single is set to be released in late August and fans are anxiously awaiting her new music and hoping it's better than her last attempt. Other than releasing the new photo, what else has she been up to?

"A Very Special Christmas" album

This year, the former Mouseketeer will be part of the album series "A Very Special Christmas" along with Train, Michael Buble, Rascal Flatts, Cheap Trick and a variety of others singers. The two albums - "A Very Special Christmas 25th Anniversary" and "A Very Special Christmas: Bringing Peace on Earth" - will be released on October 16 way before Christmas so there's plenty of time to pick up your copies. The albums help raise money for the Special Olympics. Tim Shriver, the CEO and Chairman of the Special Olympics, said of the albums "This 25th anniversary will be the biggest year in the history of this series. This is music that continues to sell. People buy it. They enjoy it. They think it's just great Christmas music, but it's more than that. It's ! changing the world." The first "A Very Special Christmas" album was released on October 12, 1987 and featured songs by the likes of Whitney Houston, U2, Madonna, Jon Bon Jovi and Stevie Nicks.

Billie Joe Armstrong joins team

Billie Joe, the well-known Green Day lead singer and musician, has teamed up with "The Voice" to act as a mentor to Christina's team. He started working with the show on July 25 and said "'The Voice' has won over viewers because it's not molding artists, it's just giving them a little bit of guidance and direction without giving them a complete makeover." There's no doubt he's going to have plenty of insight to give considering how long he's been in the business. Green Day's first album was released back in 1990. It looks like X-Tina isn't the only one who has an album coming out soon. Green day has a whopping three albums ready for release - "UNO!" in September, "DOS!" in November and "TRE!" in January. "The Voice" returns on September 10.

World Hunger Relief PSA

The blonde diva and Yum! Brands have been a team since 2009 and now they're getting together to do a new PSA for World Hunger Relief, which benefits the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). In addition to doing the PSA, she's also going to be in their print materials and advertising. About the new initiative, she said "I'm excited about my new PSA for Yum! Brands' World Hunger Relief effort this fall using my voice for good to help feed millions of children who go to bed hungry every night. I hope to inspire others to use their voice for good and move millions of people from hunger to hope." She's previously done relie! f trips for WFP and serves as their ambassador. In September 2011, the singer recorded a PSA for the company in which she's singing a lullaby to a group of children. It's clear that it's a cause she's quite passionate about and it's wonderful to see that she's using her celebrity for good. The new campaign is set to launch this fall. You can also check out WeFeedback, which is part of the WFP, if you wish to donate to the organization via her social networking page on the site. Yum! Brands is the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut.
