The Voice: Team Adam Levine And Team Christina Aguilera Chat About Their Experience

Last night on The Voiceon NBC, the blind auditions continued, and we saw some amazing talent, once again. Today, team Adam Levine and team Christina Aguilera took some time to chat with the press about their experience thus far on the show. What did Moses Stone, Geoff McBride, Chris Cauley, Katrina Parker, Nathan Parrett, and Pip have to say? Read on to find out!

Last night on The Voice, we watched as Moses Stone, Geoff McBride, Chris Cauley, Katrina Parker, Nathan Parrett, and Pip impressed the judges with their amazing voices, and they earned their spots on Adam Levine and Christina Aguileras teams. Today, these up-and-coming artists sat down to chat about their experience so far. Check our their interview below!

! Question: How does it feel to have a new fan base, which includes celebrities?

Geoff McBride: Its bizarre I think one thing we can all agree on is that this is happening very fast. The last 24 hours have been a rush. Ive gotten no sleep, but for me personally, I am having a lot of fun with it. I think it is silly to let it blow up your head. I mean, at the end of the day, it is just a reality show.

Nathan Parrett: The support on Twitter is fantastic, and people are going to YouTube, where I have videos, and that is awesome. Its been great for me.

Moses Stone: I just want to say that it has been a huge blessing.

Pip: It has been incredible, amazing to see how quickly its exploded. I am overwhelmed, but I cant wait to see how things grow from here.

Question: Moses, why did you choose to go with Rap on a singing competition?

Moses Stone: I think it was definitely a brave and bold move of myself. It is definitely time for Hip Hop to be recognized. There are a lot of shows out there, but not many outlets for Hip Hop artists to show their talent. Technically, it is called The Voice, but rapping is poetry you are using your voice the same as you would be using your voice for singing.

Question: Tell us about this opportunity for you, at 51 years of age.

Geoff McBride: The opportunity at 51 has been tremendous. In the past, I have had the opportunity to be on stage with some of the best. The Voice is a chance for me to get back on stage and do what I love to do. You can get thrown under the bus in this fickle industry. For me, I rode the bus and now I am ready to rise to the top. I have so much respect for coaches, and producers. Everyone on this show walks away a winner because of the way the show is handled.

Question: Katrina, can you talk about what it was like getting back on stage, and how exci! ting it was when Carson Daly showed up at your office?

Katrina Parker: Oh GodIt was a complete shock. I didnt know what was going on, until I realized what he was there for. I was so giddy and shocked, while my co-workers were clapping. It was a ridiculous experience and I am not sure I will ever have one like that again. I hadnt been on a stage in 3 years, but thought I was more ready than I was. I did have a bit of a panic attack, but then it was over, and I was thinking okay, I can do this again, I get back in this game.

Question: What made you choose Adam Levine?

Pip: In the end, he sold himself the best. Yes, he criticized me, but I knew where he could take me. He could give me constructive criticism, which would help me.

Question: Geoff, why did you choose Christina?

Geoff McBride: My decision basically came down to the one I thought had more interest. Cee Lo said he was looking for a powerful female singer. I knew if I walked on the stage and was not what he wanted, it would not work. Christina turned in the beginning and was there at the end. I am very excited to work with her. This journey is just beginning, so we will see whats in store.

Question: Chris, Grenade was awesome last night, was that your idea? And also, did you go on with an idea of who you wanted as a coach?

Chris Cauley: Thank you very much. I am still getting used to this. It was my idea. I went into it wanting to do acoustic, since I didnt trust anyone with the arrangement, but The Voice band took it to anotherlevel. I give them all the credit now. I went into it, hoping Adam Levine would turn around. Heres a true story a few days before the blind auditions, I had a dream that I was hanging out at Adams house by he pool. I knewif Adam turned around, I had to go with him.

Question: Last weekend we saw the passing of Whitney Houston, and i! n the pa st Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse. Have an of those artists inspired you?

Katrina Parker: Absolutely, all of those artists inspire me. I am a huge Amy Winehouse fan, and honestly, how can you not be a Whitney Houston fan? We also lost Etta James ths year, which was sad. All of those women were huge inspirations to me.

Chris Cauley: It is so sad, in this day and age, I miss all the great things all of the Whitney Houstons and Michael Jacksons. We dont have many of those anymore. I know you mentioned Michael Jackson, and he was a huge inspiration for me. I made my living touring in the Man In The Mirror tour. On the anniversary of his death, I had an opportunity to sing his songs all over the world, so Michael Jackson has special place in my heart.

Who was your favorite blind audition last night? Are any of them the future winner of The Voice?
