Distraught Christina Aguilera Cancels Grammys Appearance

Christina Aguilera is sitting this one out.

Distraught over the death of her idol Whitney Houston, the singer and Voice coach, 31, has canceled her appearance for Sunday night's Grammy Awards in L.A.

"Good luck at the @TheGRAMMYs @AdamLevine @CeeLoGreen @BlakeShelton!" she tweeted to her Voice costars Sunday. "Sorry I couldn't be there but rooting for all of us tonight! XoXtina"

"Christina is super upset," a source close to the star told Us Weekly. "Crying hysterically about Whitney." Aguilera was also a no-show at Clive Davis' somber pre-Grammys bash held at the Beverly Hilton hours after Houston's body was discovered.

The big-voiced Burlesque star was among the many, many stars reacting to Houston's shocking death on Saturday at age 48.

"We have lost another legend," she wrote on Twitter Saturday. "Love and prayers to Whitney's family. She will be missed."
