'The Voice's Adley Stump: 'Christina, Blake are my vocal idols' - video
The singer had to pick which coach she wanted on Monday night (February 27) after impressing both with her blind audition performance of 'Last Night' by Carrie Underwood.
She opted to go with her heart and join Team Blake.
Speaking to social media correspondent Christina Milian backstage, she said: "I wanted both of them. Those are my two favourite vocal idols. That's probably the hardest decision I'll have to make in my life - not who to marry, where to move or what job to get!
"I had to go with my heart in the end."
Stump added that she only discovered she could sing "a little while ago" and suggested that her background as a cheerleader had helped.
"I think it taught me how to yell," she said. "Hopefully I can channel that into good singing!"

Aguilera had tried to woo Stump by saying: "Your power blew me away. You're obviously a very talented vocalist and you have good chops. Maybe you're a little more country but I think I do have a lot to offer you as a coach.
"I've s pent a number of years trying to fine tune what I do so if you're looking to improve vocals then I will sit and dissect with you on a vocalist level."
Shelton countered by saying: "To sing country music you're telling stories and that comes through life experience. I think it's a matter of how you express yourself, not the vocal Olympics that Christina is talking about putting you through.
"How about learning to sing with honesty and selling the story so that I believe you no matter what you are singing."
Fellow coach Adam Levine summed it up by saying: "You are great. It's funny because you do have country but some of your big vocal moments reminded me a lot of Christina too. You have a tough decision to make!"
The Voice airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC
