Super Bowl National Anthem: Kelly Clarkson Will Embarrass Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera was a five-time Grammy winner when she stepped onto the stage to sing the national anthem at last year's Super Bowl.
It took less than a minute for her reputation to go up in flames.
Aguilera skipped not one, but two lines of the national anthem as the Green Bay Packers got set to clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers. By the end of it, her flub had superseded her outstanding voice, and the clip was spread around on YouTube as fast as you can say, "Like butter."
Kelly Clarkson has the honor of potentially risking her reputation this year, when the New England Patriots face off with the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI.
Clarkson, who won American Idol in 2002, has gone on to become the most successful Idol contestant ever, with over 21 million albums sold. Her single, "Stronger," was the top-selling track on iTunes last week.
But, if she messes up the national anthem during the Super Bowl, it will always follow her around.
Will Kelly Clarkson nail it on Sunday?

Not to worry, though, folks. Clarkson should be just fine. You see, Clarkson has sung the national anthem many times already, including at the 2011 NBA Finals. She has experience with this kind of thing. She's also, well, not Christina Aguilera.
Beyond this, she has the benefit of knowing what's in store if you flub the lyrics: a great deal of humiliation. That kind of fear can inspire you to be perfect.
Aguilera may have sacked the national anthem last year, but you can expect Clarkson to score a touchdown come Sunday.
