'The Voice' recap: The blind auditions are a wrap

"The Voice" wrapped up its blind auditions Monday night, with the four coaches -- Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton -- choosing from highly worthy final candidates to round out their teams of 12 apiece. From here, host Carson Daly explained at the show's end, the teams will proceed to the "battle rounds," in which two contestants from the same team will face off in one-on-one competitions to leave each coach with six artists by the time the live shows roll around. As a "Voice" rookie this season, I need to ask, is there still button pushing and chair spinning once we move on from the blind auditions? Or will the fancy red thrones be static from here on out? Please fill me in on what lies ahead, "Voice" returnees. So at the beginning of Monday's fifth and final set of blind auditions, each of the judges had two slots to fill, except Green, who had three. With whom did they fill them? Whitney Myer, a 25-year-

The Voice contestant Adley Stump has said that choosing between Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton was the hardest decision she'll have to make in her life. The singer had to pick which coach she wanted on Monday night (February 27) after impressing both with her blind audition performance of 'Last Night' by Carrie Underwood . She opted to go with her heart and join Team Blake. Speaking to social media correspondent Christina Milian backstage, she said: "I wanted both of them. Those are my two favourite vocal idols. That's probably the hardest decision I'll have to make in my life - not who to marry, where to move or what job to get! "I had to go with my heart in the end." Stump added that she only discovered she could sing "a little while ago" and suggested that her background as a cheerleader had helped. "I think it taught me how to yell," she said. "Hopefully I can channel that into good singing!" Watch Adley St

NBC If you thought NBC's The Voice coaches were extremely picky last week, they were downright stingy with the button pushes on Mondays episode. It was the final round of the blind auditions and each coach had only two or three more spots before reaching their team dozen. PHOTOS: 'The Voice' Season 2 First Look -- Notable Quotables From the Show's Coaches Once the teams were complete, the coaches split the surprises down the middle. Adam Levine declared his team the strongest of the four. He may be right as his performers seemed to fit his M.O. from last season: Voices that fill a specific niche regardless of musical genre. In this final round, Adam picked up soul and blues singer Whitney Myer and beat-boxing soul singer Orlando Napier. Cee Lo Green , too, seemed to stay in his comfort zone. I know its strange to use his name and comfort zone in the same sentence. He populated his team with unique artists like him who have some quirks. He chose garage rockers, The Sh

'The Voice' Recap: Christina Aguilera Picks Up Usher Sound-Alike

"The Voice" judges Christina Aguilera , Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green proved as picky and discerning as ever on Monday night's fourth round of blind auditions. Several strong performers were turned away as the judges continued to carefully select the contestants they hope will go all the way to the finals and in turn, win bragging rights for the last judge standing. And Cee Lo continued to inexplicably stroke a white cat during his to-the-camera interviews. "The Voice" is so weird and wonderful ... now, on to the show. Team Christina Aguilera got off to a strong start, scoring the night's first two contestants (well, the first two who got picked at all, that is). First up was Jonathas, a 23-year-old father of two who moved to the U.S. from Brazil at age 5 to escape poverty and violence. In Touch reports that an insider claimed Aguilera's lifestyle is to blame, and that she "hasn't eased up on the partying one iota" since she was publicly arrested for being a drunk. The source also said: Shes even shown up on set looking bloated and hungover. They even added: Its gotten so bad that frustrated producers are considering giving Christina a curfew on the nights before tapings. The J.Lo Effect: $15 Million Becoming the New Standard as Reality Salaries Soar

Call it the J.Lo effect. When American Idol producers agreed in 2010 to pay pop music superstar Jennifer Lopez about $12million to replace Simon Cowell on the Fox competition's 10th season, little did they know they were setting off a gold rush. More than a year later, the C-listers that once populated the judges panels on reality shows have given way to a new crop of increasingly bold-face names demanding big-time paydays. And networks, desperate to stand out in a crowded reality landscape, are happily ponying up. In early February, NBC re-signed The Voice judge Christina Aguilera to a new deal that will pay her roughly $10 million for the show's upcoming third season. Howard Stern will make about $15million when he joins the judges panel on NBC's America's Got Talent this summer. Lopez is believed to be garnering in the $20 million range for her second season with Idol, according to knowledgeable sources. (Fox and NBC would not comment on the financial terms of
