Christina Aguilera unveils Lotus album cover

Christina Aguilera revealed the cover for her newest album Lotus on Friday.

Aguilera tweeted the album cover to her fans on her Twitter page:

The picture features a nude Aguilera as she emerges from a lotus flower. The pink and white coloring of the flower and the bright white light surrounding her body make Aguilera look elegant and peaceful.

Aguilera talked to MTV about her musical journey saying: I've already put out a greatest hits record, so I've been in this business for a while, and ... I'm a risk taker, that's just who I am at heart. It's who I can't help but be. It's who I always am in nature, as a person and as an artist.

She states she was inspired by The Voice contestants who listened to her albums and tried to hit the same notes and runs in the songs.

Aguilera previously chatted with Billboard about the similar themes in her album Stripped and in Lotus saying: There is a new generation of fans from a younger demographic that might not have been with me all the way but that watch me on the show now. I feel like every generation should be able to enjoy and have their piece of "Fighter" within. This time, the way it musically came together it just felt right for this time and this generation.

Lotus will be released on November 13.
