Christina Aguilera Leaving The Voice For Good?

Christina Aguilera has hinted that her break from The Voice may not be temporary.

It has already been confirmed that the 'Your Body' singer will be replaced on the show's fourth season by Shakira, while she takes time out to promote and tour her new album Lotus.

It has, however, been assumed that she would return to the talent contest for its fifth cycle.

However, speaking to Access Hollywood, she admitted that she isn't entirely sure.

"We'll see where everything goes," she said. "But I definitely know that I have to step away from it for a second so that I can regenerate my own artistry and get back to what my ultimate love is."

On her new LP artwork, which sees her naked form emerge from a flower, she said: "[It's about] embracing everything about the person that I've grown to be since the last record. A lot of changes have gone down - I'm a coach, etc.

"So it's really fun for me to come to this place of freedom and independence and express that on many different levels throughout the album."
