Christina Aguilera: 'New album is quality over quantity'
The singer insisted that she has taken her time recording the follow-up to 2010's Bionic as she wants the material to be of high quality.
Speaking backstage at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Aguilera explained: "It's coming, it's coming, it's coming. I'm very, very excited.
"It's quality not quantity. I don't like to just get songs from producers. I like them to come from a personal place. It's going to be great."
She added: "I'm very excited. It's fun, exciting, introspective. It's great."
Aguilera previously teased that her seventh studio album will be "honest and raw" and will serve as a natural continuation of her career.
