Christina Aguilera, judge on NBCs, The Voice had a lot to say following Dez Durons elimination from the competition on November 27. And as usual, she made no bones about telling it like it is. Take the jump for all the details.

According to US Magazine, this is Christina Aguileras third consecutive season on The Voice and she has! yet to coach one of her mentees to the coveted title of champion. And considering that Aguilera will be leaving the show at the end of this season to promote her new album, Lotus, shes probably upset that she leaves zero winners out of three seasons.

Aguilera was visibly saddened by the loss of Duron and said she has high hopes for his future in the music industry. She spoke about losing the competition, I lost one myself earlier on in my career, she said referring to her 1990 loss on Star Search. She explained, Ive gone on to do much bigger and better things some people dont even know what Star Search was! she laughed. Im sure Dez will say the same in his own way one day.

Regardless of who wins the competition or which team they were on, they are not ensured future success or a lasting career in the music industry. Aguilera points out, [My former mentee] Chris Mann, prime example. Came in fourth last year. Its like ultimately, whos the real winner? Whos Javier? Whos Jermaine? She asked. At this point, I think its all about Chris Mann, thank you! she said referring to season 1s Javier Colon and season 2s Jermaine Paul.

Aguilera said she even lent her vocals to Manns forthcoming debut album, Roads. Hes coming back on the show for a performance to do something from his album, Aguilera said.

Twenty-twoyear-old Duron spoke of his time on The Voice and said he had no regrets. At this point, Im surrounded by amazing vocalists in this competition anybody can go home any week, he said. My goal every week was just to go out there and put my heart on that stage and give a great performance.

Do you agree with Aguilera that Duron should not have gone home? Who do you think will win the competition? Post a comment and let us know what you think.
