When Justin Bieber appeared on The Voice this week, his brief encounter with Christina Aguilera left many believing the two are not fans of one another.

It seems that viewers saw Bieber go in for an embrace and be rejected by a handshake by Aguilera. This quick encounter resulted in the buzz that the two are not too friendly.

However, E! News reports that the encounter was simply a misunderstanding. Aguilera commented on the situation on her Twitter earlier today.

US Weekly also reports that after her seemingly negative encounter with Bieber on the show, she spoke highly of him backstage.

You know, hes definitely popular with the ladies and he came on the show tonight, she said. It was a fun burst of energy. Hes really a charismatic guy and it was cute!

While Aguilera has been known for her recently honest and direct critiques on the show, she confirms that her encounter with Bieber was not a negative attack.
