Tony Lucca responds to Christina Aguilera's criticism

After constant criticism from Christina Aguilera, Tony Lucca finally responds to her comments.

On Mondays episode of The Voice, former Mouseketeer Tony Lucca performed a rendition of the Jay-Z song, "99 Problems." At least one of the judges, Christina Aguilera, was left unimpressed.

After his performance, Aguilera said, I thought it was a little derogatory towards women.

Aguilera furthered the jabs at Lucca after the contestant she mentors, Chris Mann, covered The Voice Within, a song by Aguilera.

This is a real man, he respects women, Aguilera said of Manns performance.

Earlier in the season, Aguilera called Luccas performances one dimensional and she did not recognize him when he first auditioned.

When asked about Aguileras barbs, Lucca told Us Weekly, "How convenient that she waits the whole season to talk about all things classy. It's just so transparent at this point and pathetic."

Despite her comments, Lucca is not going to let Aguileras comments affect him.

"I'm not going to let one person bring me down. Clearly that seems like part of her strategy," he told People.

Lucca thought that her harsh criticisms might have something to do with the rivalry among the shows coaches.

"It seems like a her-and-Adam thing. It's too bad because out of the four of them I think she may be the most knowledgeable about singing and the business. But she gets in her own way. Its a lack of self awareness or something, Lucca said.

When asked about the feud between Lucca and Aguilera, Juliet Simms, the contestant for Team Cee Lo, said, I have nothing but good things to say about Chr! istina. She is entitled to her opinion."

Chris Mann, who is on Team Christina, was protective of his mentor. "I thought it was uncomfortable. You are calling her a b***ch. I felt defensive as a guy with the only female coach. But I thought Christina handled it well, Mann said of Luccas performance.

While Aguilera seems to not be impressed with Luccas run on The Voice, at least another former Mouseketeer is enjoying his performances. Justin Timberlake, who also appeared on the Mickey Mouse Club with Lucca and Aguilera tweeted in support of Lucca, saying the following:
