Christina Aguilera has reportedly teamed up with Max Martin for her new single.

The singer is said to have worked on her comeback track with Martin, who is best known for producing songs for Britney Spears and Pink. It is rumoured to be released in early 2012.

Music director at major US radio station Kiis FM Julie Pilat tweeted that Aguilera's new song was "amazing", before revealing the name of its producer.

She later added: "Plans can change so I will let their camp reveal all details. The song I heard has been stuck in my head ever since. Can't wait."

The track leads the singer's fifth studio album, after 2010's Bionic. The LP peaked at number three in the US and number one in the UK, but was named the lowest-selling chart-topper of the year.

It was recently reported that Aguilera had hired a vocal coach while making the record, hoping to make her voice "even more perfect".
