Christina Aguilera, Scarlett Johansson Hacker 'Addicted' To Snooping
A man who gained access to Christina Aguilera and Scarlett Johansson's computers has claimed he became addicted to hacking celebrities personal files.
Christopher Chaney, 35, was arrested this week accused of illegally gaining access to and stealing files from, celebrities including Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis and Vanessa Hudgens.
Chaney was released on bail and spoke to CNN about, what he claims, went from an interest to an obsession.
"I deeply apologize. I know what I did was probably one of the worst invasions of privacy someone could experience." said Chaney.
"[It] started as curiosity and it turned into just being, you know, addicted to seeing the behind-the-scenes of what's going on with these people you see on the big screen every day."
Adding: "It just happened and snowballed....I didn't know how to stop doing it myself. I wasn't attempting to break into e-mails and get stuff to sell or purposely put it on the Internet. It just -- I don't know."
If found guilty, Chaney could be sentenced to 121 years in federal prison for his crimes.
