Christina Aguilera 'open to Super Bowl return'

Christina Aguilera in The Voice

Christina Aguilera has said that she is "open" to performing at the Super Bowl again.

The 30-year-old, who messed up the lyrics of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' while singing at this year's event, revealed that she would love to return for next year's game.

"I'm open. Hey, I'm up for any challenge, any time any day," Aguilera told Access Hollywood.

The singer later confessed that she found her Super Bowl gaffe to be amusing, insisting that she took the incident in her stride.

Aguilera, who serves as a judge on The Voice, went on to open up about her decision to return as a judge for the NBC series's second season.

"I had to come back and do a second [season]. How could I not?" she said. "This is the most exciting show - ever!"

She continued: "The suspense value? It's intense I think I get more nervous in these blind auditions than the actual artists and vocalists that come up here to audition. It's nervewracking and exciting."

In June, it was announced that The Voice will air immediately after next year's Super Bowl.
