She Knows RTVM Interview: Cee Lo Green

Fans have enjoyed Cee Lo Greens charismatic personality as a coach on NBCs hit show The Voice; and now the artist will bring his hits to the stage for a residency in Las Vegas. Green along with Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Black Sheldon have helped upcoming si! ngers turn their dreams into reality for the past three seasons on The Voice. On a recent hiatus, the multiple Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter-producer performed at Harrahs Resort in Atlantic City. She Knows Reality TV Magazine caught up with the 38 year-old to talk about his music career, upcoming residency in Las Vegas, and his hopes for the future of The Voice!

The reality TV show, The Voice is a vocal competition that brings together talented singers, respected coaches and admired advisors to discover stellar new artists. Green has been a part of the special magic on the blockbuster singing show but is taking a hiatus along with Aguilera. He will return for the fifth season. Meanwhile, he says the addition of Shakira and Usher will definitely have an effect on the show.

Both figuratively and literally its going to change it completely, he said, Itll be a totally different show without me and Christina. I can only hope that it is as well received but its its own competition and so therefore you dont get a second chance to make a first impression so thats the harsh reality, thats the pressure.

As for the new artists joining the ranks at The VoiceGreen is hopeful they will be successful.

I wish them well and I would like to see our brand sustained, he explained Im very proud and protective of The Voice, the brand, the sentimentyou know, what it represents so Id like to see it do well but its up against a lot of scrutiny but I wish them well.

Green is also gearing up for his new Las Vegas residency CeeLo Green is Loberace at Planet Hollywood opening February 27 and running through April 2013. The show will be a spectacle taking fans on a wild ride through the colorful decades of musicsomething Green says will be very unique.

Were definitely going to do our best to make a fashion statement, make a social statement saying that all people belong together under the umbrella of good music, he said adding, its going to be fun; fireworks, fire-breathing dragons, unicorns!
